Playing catch-up

Long time between blogs again, dang late winter, early spring colds :) Anyway thought I'd let everybody know that I really have been working! First up is a Salerno in dappled and flea bit grey, who is listed right now on MH$P. Next is a commission that I just completed. He's a semi drastic LG, I gave him a new more QHish profile, filled that anorexic barrel, flicked his ear, gave him a new mane and lowered his tail. Then I topped him off with his luscious chestnut coat. In between these guys I've also been fiddiling with a couple of CL Frolic stallions, that when finnished will be a matched pair, so stay tuned for them :D

New website!!!!

Well I finally gave up on geocities. Between not being able to update or change anything on my site because of it crashing my computer, or people not being able to view it because I was supposedly over my view limit, I've decided to find greener pastures. So now I'm with Webs.com, which is amazingly easy to work with and so far I'm loving it. It's a work in progress, but I feel that I have a good start. Right now it's pretty basic, prices, policies and a pared down photo gallery, but as soon as I can figure out how I hope to ad some logos and what not.

Now of course I need to re-do my bussiness cards :)

Is winter over yet?

Ugg! I can't wait till spring. This weather yo-yoing from the 60s to single digits is for the birds. I've been sick all week, felt better today, but better is a relative term. I still felt like someone had hit me in the side of the head with a baseball bat. Needless to say I haven't been in the studio lately, which isn't good as I have two batches of donations to work on and need to get final pics of a completed commission. Though I can''t say that I have been completely non-productive. I did finally get to start and finish the Curly medallion that I'd been wanting to do. Now I need to get on the ball about getting some things cast. I'm up to three medallions and two trad foals that are ready for production. Must get to work!

I MUST behave, I MUST behave......

I MUST behave :) I keep telling myself I don't need anymore models. Yet I keep spending almost every penny I make from the few models I've sold.
Sell more, buy less, that needs to be my montra for 2009.
Working hard with nothing to show for it yet, but soon. Stay tuned for the next instalment is the comedy of errors that is my life.

Long time no blog...again :)

Between the holidays, colds and other misc. real like stuff I haven't found time to keep up with blogging :( I have been working, really! Though I don't have too much to show for it. Been working on Haggis, got his body color down and am working on his pattern. Started sculpting on a seconds quality Mini Z so he has a girlfriend. When I'm done with her she'll be a pintaloossa mustang, though she has a long way to go before I can even think about putting color on her. Worked on the prizes for my color contest, working on a show donation for "Plastic Ponies on Parade" and I'm almost finished a really cool SM sale piece. Other than that not much, just waiting for warmer weather to return.

When good ideas go bad.

While searching through pics to try to find a color for my mini Haggis I ran across this photo of a very pregnant sitting drafter and decided that she would make a great companion for Pop (see last post.) Well off to the studio I go to start the de-construction on my newest victim, many hours later what I'm left with is the mangled forward two thirds of a PS chips drafter, the hind quarters a total loss and a splitting head ache. It sounded like such a good idea at the time!

What I've been doing for myself

These are the two newest girls I have completed for my own collection. The first is a dramitic remake the LG SM scale "Synergey" resin. I got her in a recent trade Someone had already started the changes to make her a mule, but the pics made her look a lot better than she really was in person. So I removed all the old resculpting and her bases and started clean. She now sports a new facial profile with pooky lip, lovely refined mule ears, nice flowly mane and tail and a removable base. I then painted her a super sooty dun. I'm envisioning her as a spanish/QH X mammoth jack, her name is "PYD From the Ashes" aka Phoenix. Number 2 is a drastic PS chips drafter who is now VERY pregnant and not sure what to make of this whole situtation. New mane and tail, new neck huge baby belly and mommy bits. I painted her a sunburned black sabino who looks like she's pretty much been left to relax mostly untouched in the fields, which from the looks of her won't be much longer :P I've named her "PYD What The ?" (you just know by her expresion this is her first foal :) ) aka Pop, since this is what it looks like she's about to do  I'm really loving these littler guys!
